About the job:
Hims & Hers is looking for an outstanding Privacy Counsel to join our growing Legal & Government Relations/Public Affairs team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will take point on privacy compliance, with the opportunity to take ownership of material projects in a high-growth, collaborative company. You will work closely with teams across the business to maintain our privacy commitments, help solve interesting problems, and shape legislative and policy efforts.
Oversee the Hims & Hers privacy program, including the implementation and updating of privacy policies and procedures, workforce training, and monitoring/auditing activities
Advise cross-functional teams on broad variety of privacy issues
Lead our privacy compliance efforts under international, federal and state laws, including HIPAA, CCPA and other healthcare privacy requirements
Assist in developing and implementing privacy incident response plans
Help inform and shape the company’s legislative efforts
Extensive experience with privacy laws and regulations (healthcare experience preferred)
Strong record of providing solution-focused advice
Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
JD from top law school
5+ years privacy experience
