Role Overview

Hillel International is seeking full-time IACT Coordinators who focus on recruiting for immersive Israel experiences & engaging students in meaningful Jewish life on campus. IACT (Inspired, Active, Committed, Transformed) is Hillel’s comprehensive strategy that leverages Birthright Israel to transform Jewish life on campus. Currently active on 29 campuses across the United States, IACT seeks to engage a critical mass of less affiliated first and second year students in Jewish life on campus by inspiring, activating and propelling these young adults on a Jewish journey. By ensuring that every Jewish student has the opportunity to participate in a meaningful immersive Israel experience and be supported on a journey of Jewish discovery before, during, and after that experience, IACT builds a connected and committed campus community. This is a unique position for a candidate who has a passion for relationship building and is skilled in organizing, marketing, event planning, and program development. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate previous successful implementation of creative ideas.

The IACT Coordinator will work with students prior to their departure and upon their return from their Birthright Israel experiences developing activities to engage students in Jewish life on campus, by encouraging them to become involved as leaders and participants in student-organized Jewish programming and groups, and by directing them to and facilitating their participation in existing Israel-related opportunities on and off campus. IACT Coordinators are excited to engage students in Israel and in Jewish conversations, and have a deep understanding of Jewish identity as a framework for shaping meaning, value and purpose in the lives of emerging adults. They wake up each day (or at least most!) genuinely excited and enthusiastic to help students explore, experience, and create vibrant connections to Israel and Jewish Life. This is so much more than your average 9-to-5.
