At Higher Ground Education, we're driven by a deep desire to bring about widespread change in education today. To meet the needs of today's students and to bring about true progress in the world around us, we need an education model that fosters independence and develops competent, capable, action-oriented thinkers and change agents. We believe that the key to international education reform lies in modernizing and mainstreaming the hugely impactful Montessori pedagogy.

Since our founding in 2016, we have opened over 100 beautiful schools across the U.S. and globally, serving students from birth through high school. We have also launched an innovative training organization to fuel our growth. We're on track to open 40+ schools yearly.

About the Role 

As we continue to expand our global presence, we’re looking for an Architect to support the Expansion and Development Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is interested in working across America and joining a mission that matters. This role can be done remotely with expectations of some travel.

Higher Ground Education’s Architect will be responsible for working with Expansion Team to create new Montessori schools at new and existing sites. Responsibilities will include designing and generating construction documents, collaborating with the team to ensure timely completion of the project and incorporating feedback from licensing and program teams.

This is a management role, leading people. The Architect must be able to understand budget and programming as it relates to designs.  

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Proficiency in Revit
  • An architectural degree from an accredited university (architectural license is not required)
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Pride in the procession and quality of their work
  • A passion for and alignment with our mission

We will prefer you over other candidates if you have:

  • Experience in multiple states
  • Daycare/Childcare, Education, and/or Retail experience
  • Familiarity with the International Building Code
