Higher Ground is growing its marketing team! We are looking for a seasoned marketing professional who can envision strategy and enjoys getting into the details to brilliantly execute it. You understand brand strategy, and have depth in both paid customer acquisition and a desire to grow the business through every possible option. You have a long-term strategic view of marketing and will work to develop marketing plans to help the company drive strong enrollment growth across various product verticals – including our Brick & Mortar school network, Virtual School, and various digital education offerings. You are comfortable leading through influence, and have a high capacity to manage ambiguity, uncertainties and complexities. This is a critical role on our team, and we’re looking for an individual who is both a critical thinker to shape how we grow our existing product lines and a hands-on doer who enjoys driving business growth through rapid testing and execution. Responsibilities
The Senior Marketing Manager, will take the lead on working across one or several product verticals to drive enrollment growth regionally and globally. You will be joining a talented team of marketers, entrepreneurs and experts in education to level up our marketing and drive ongoing enrollment growth to help the company achieve its mission and goals.
You will work closely with our teams across School Success, Admissions, and Operations to ensure programs are
executed to meet our objectives. This individual will:
• Become a Product Expert: You will become well-versed in learning about each product vertical and define how we message the value proposition of each product that you are working on. You will understand who is the audience and where they live to create messaging and marketing efforts that resonate and breakthrough
• Become a Channel Growth Expert: Be able to strategize and execute across all user acquisition channels. You will get comfortable with paid acquisition channels (Facebook, Google) and understand the power of email marketing, re-engagement/re-targeting. It is your responsibility to unlock growth through new opportunities, such as emerging channels (TikTok, Reddit, Influencers...)
• Become a Marketplace Expert: At this level it is expected of the individual who can do marketplace analysis and has a desire to learn the what the competition is for each of the product verticals
Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop the marketing strategy for each product vertical that you own and develop a GTM plan to successfully launch and support
• Directly own enrollment growth goal on particular product vertical and develop the strategy to meet and exceed business targets
• Provide ongoing analysis of pricing, ad spend and ROI to optimize existing marketing efforts and to unite the cross-functional team behind clear business objectives
• Test and iterate on user acquisition and growth methods to drive outsized enrollment growth on your product verticals
• Work closely with regional school teams to provide nuanced marketing plans where needed, that help to drive growth in particular regions
• Interface with stakeholders (incl. Operations, Marketing, Admissions, and School Success) to gather and understand business and program requirements
• Bring ideas to the table for how we continue to grow and optimize our marketing efforts broadly
• Stay up to date with the latest growth marketing tactics to continue to improve our marketing capabilities over time
Skills
We’d love to talk to you if you have…
• 5+ year’s professional marketing experience as brand manager, product marketing manager or growth marketing roles in consumer-facing or high-growth start-up organizations
• Strong Proficiency with writing and an ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. While we have an editing team, you will be required to write email or ad copy at times because you will be closest to the product and customer
• Comfortable analyzing data and providing business recommendations
• Proficiency with ad platforms such as Facebook and Google, and other elements of the marketing mix (including traditional and digital channels)
• Ability to own projects and perform detailed analysis of business requirements
• Excellent communication skills, a sense of curiosity, and a good sense of humor
