High Alpha is hiring key team members for a new B2B SaaS startup. This position will be with High Alpha’s latest company, which is pre-public launch. You’ll work closely with the internal High Alpha team while reporting directly to the CEO. We are bringing the power of digital transformation and artificial intelligence to corporate security & resilience teams on the ServiceNow platform.  We are a security tool built by security practitioners and are focused on solving our customers' problems and delivering value. We are seeking a head of engineering to lead our technical efforts, provide architectural guidance, and scale a rapidly growing product and team.  

What You’ll Do: 

Solution Design & Architecture:  

  • Provide strategic direction and architectural guidance for our core application, how we integrate across the ServiceNow platform, and data integration through API’s.  
  • Connect solution design to customer value. 

Technical Consultation & Quality Assurance:  

  • Collaborate with and oversee the work of a third-party application development firm to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.  
  • Continuously assess and improve development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality. 
  • Nurture engineers to think with architecture and design best practices in mind, including aspects such as performance, scalability, maintainability, and security. 

Hands-On Development:

  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on development. Be willing to roll up your sleeves and engage in daily hands-on development tasks, ensuring that strategic initiatives are practically implemented and aligned with business needs.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:  

  • Create comprehensive technical design documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations and design specifications, data models, integrations, workflow specifications, and implementation guidelines. 
  • Drive contributions to the knowledge base and share best practices as we grow and scale the team. 

Business Strategy & Partner Relations:  

  • Understand and translate our customers' problem statements to prioritize roadmap milestones that provide a demonstrable return on investment.  
  • Build trusting relationships with the ServiceNow product and sales teams fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.  

Company Growth 

  • Contribute to the growth of the business through direct participation in all phases of the customer life cycle including sales, implementation, support & customer success.  
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer support, to align technical efforts with business goals. 

Continuous Learning:  

  • Stay abreast of and be a leader on the latest advancements in ServiceNow and integrated technologies, tools, and industry trends.  
  • Continuously enhance your expertise to provide cutting-edge solutions and innovative approaches.  

Role-Specific Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6+ years of technology experience, with at least 2 years in an Architect role.
  • Experience with working or developing in one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Angular JS, HTML, XML.
  • Hands-on experience with web services integrations (SOAP, REST).
  • Experience in one or more of the following ServiceNow modules a plus: WSD, HRSD, SecOps, ITS.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Outstanding communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS is ideal.
  • ServiceNow CSA, CIS, or CAD certifications are a plus. 

Compensation: 

  • $160-$180K
