To help grow our Finance Department in Malta, we are currently looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Manager in Accounting to join our dedicated team of professionals.


This role will report to the group controllership function and support cross functional teams at High 5 Games. It will be our first finance hire in Malta, so it will require a mix of strategic project work to help us build the right team, strengthen processes and controls as well as day to day tasks when our on-line casino launches and as we add to the team. Based in our office in Malta, your responsibilities will initially include:

  • Overseeing the day to day operations of the accounting team
  • Ensuring timely and accurate Monthly Closing Procedures
  • Establishing the necessary processes and internal controls, such as player account/systems reconciliations are in place (in collaboration with Fraud & Payments, Product, Customer Service and Compliance teams)
  • Contribute to Annual Reports and tax declaration as needed
  • Challenge the way we do business to reduce costs and improve profitability
  • Working with Group Finance to capture accurate accruals and valuations
  • Liaising with senior managers (such as Head of Casino Operations, Marketing Director and Business Development) to provide commercial insight
  • Developing and communicating Financial policies and procedures
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for presentation to the executive team
  • Assisting with preparation of budgets and reforecasts
  • Managing payments to suppliers and assisting the Group Finance team with cash management
  • Coordinating with auditors and prepare all information required for the audit
  • Training and developing members of the team


The successful candidate shall have:


  • Qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience, which includes financial accounting experience, preparation of management accounts, analysis of business results
  • Previous experience working in the iGaming industry will be considered an asset
  • A good team player, capable of leading in a fast-paced pressured environment maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to deal efficiently with different internal departments and external counterparts
  • Ability to build relationships effectively, both in the immediate team and wider business
  • Someone who is service focused; understands the users’ requirements and delivers accordingly
