Heygo started as a way for co-founders John and Liam to keep exploring new places. As avid travellers themselves, they wanted to help people stay connected with the world and for those in the travel industry to continue doing what they love.

So that’s why they created Heygo - an experience specific live-streaming platform. One that would allow local guides to share the places they know best with the hope that it can bring people around the world closer together.

We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to proactively partner with the business on all human resources operations and ensure they’re aligned with our business goals.

You will work on embedding the Specialist role across Heygo, while supporting the Head of People with key projects to set strong HR foundations for future growth. The ideal candidate will not be afraid to 'scrappy', thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to help build the People function from scratch.

Day to day you'll:

  • Support our Head of People in the planning and implementing, HR/People policies, programs, and practices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and work to design and implement enhancements.
  • Be the main point of contact for any employee queries on people operation processes (such as: hiring, pre-boarding, onboarding, probation reviews, absence management, termination policies, offboarding)
  • Work with our Head of People to build a culture of learning, performance and development for your main stakeholders.
  • Support our Head of People in key foundational projects, for example, implementation of a company wide HRIS.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support and execute hiring, recruiting and engagement initiatives.
  • Work on new products and tools we can use to retain and grow our key talent in our different teams, allowing them to do their best work as we scale.
  • Utilise the HR information systems to ensure employee data is kept up-to-date with and maintained efficiently

You should apply if you:

  • Have 2-3 years experience in a People or HR Operations role
  • Hold a strong ability to build trusting working relationships across the board
  • Have the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a superb judgment and integrity, including excellent decision making skills and a sense of urgency
  • Are hands-on and know how to collaborate and prioritize, constantly looking for how things can be done more simply or automated.
