Position Summary:
As the Tech Lead Manager (Infrastructure) at HeyGen, you will lead a talented team in the development and enhancement of our core systems and infrastructure that power our groundbreaking products. Your leadership will drive the creation of scalable, reliable, and efficient backend systems, accommodating our rapidly growing user base and pushing the boundaries of video GenAI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and System Development: Guide and mentor a team as you design, develop, and deploy foundational systems that are both scalable and efficient. Key areas include:
- Data Infrastructure: Develop cutting-edge data systems to support our analytics capabilities
- Cloud Infrastructure: Develop scalable and robust deployment infrastructure and pipeline, observability system and development tools
- Core Infrastructure: Develop scalable and reliable job scheduling system, database, cache systems to power our cutting edge GenAI video product
- Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment with product engineers and AI researchers to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Performance Management: Oversee monitoring of all backend systems for performance issues, errors, and anomalies, and direct necessary improvements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high code quality through rigorous review processes, pair programming, and comprehensive testing.
- Strategic Vision: Continuously update the team with the latest technologies and best practices to keep HeyGen at the technological forefront.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, C++, or Java.
- Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
- Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep understanding of API design and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong background in microservices architecture.
- Prior leadership experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
