About the role:

We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Business Manager to join our dynamic eCommerce team, reporting directly to the Sales Director. This pivotal role is dedicated to optimising finance penetration, in a high growth company with ambitious goals. 

The primary focus of this role is to maximise finance penetration rates and overall revenue, ensuring seamless integration of finance solutions within the sales process. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of automotive finance, a ‘hands on’ approach  to deal closing and a proven track record in delivering outstanding service to customers throughout their purchase.

 

What you’ll do:

Finance Optimisation & Strategy

  • Drive the strategic optimisation of finance products and processes, aiming to leverage previous experience in ensuring maximum efficiency within our finance process.
  • Partner with the eCommerce Sales Manager to align strategies with broader business goals, ensuring the seamless integration of finance solutions throughout the customer journey.
  • Turn data trends into opportunities by implementing targeted strategies to maximise finance adoption and revenue growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of finance incentives & campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Customer-Focused Finance Solutions

  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and present finance options that align with their purchasing goals, ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish.
  • Manage the end-to-end finance process, from initial consultation through to completion, ensuring efficient handling of all financial documentation.
  • Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes in automotive finance to help ensure that the finance offering remains competitive and compliant.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with lenders to strengthen relationships and ensure any escalations are handled appropriately.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for finance-related queries from the eCommerce sales team, providing expert guidance and support as needed.
  • Act as a mentor and leader within the eCommerce sales team, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance and drive revenue growth.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Champion a compliance-first approach to all finance activities, ensuring adherence to FCA regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Work closely with the compliance team to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, adjusting processes and documentation as needed to ensure ongoing compliance.

Revenue Maximisation & Performance Metrics

  • Support in developing and executing strategies aimed at increasing finance penetration rates, with a focus on driving overall sales revenue and profitability.
  • Leverage data analysis and performance metrics to evaluate the success of finance strategies, feeding back to the leadership team in order to make adjustments to optimise results.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Sales Director and wider leadership team, highlighting key trends, successes, and areas for improvement.

General Sales Pipeline Support 

  • Provide support and cover for the eCommerce Sales Manager in busy times and holidays 
  • Help to drive optimal sales performance across the sales department 
  • Ad hoc managerial duties to support the department

 

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a business management role focused on automotive finance, within the eCommerce or automotive space.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive finance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a track record of achieving ambitious finance penetration and revenue targets.
  • Experience & proficiency in financial systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Driven to get ‘stuck in’ and do deals
