About the role:

Business Development Managers are responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities at automotive dealerships by building sustainable relationships with them.

They develop and implement effective sales strategies to exceed sales targets and revenue goals for our automotive digital solutions and are passionate about customer success and driving return on investment for our customers by getting underneath the skin of their businesses and understanding their needs.

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals through the development of strong, long-term commercial relationships with dealerships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to deliver commercial growth quickly, iterating the sales pitch, process and execution to support strong growth
  • Work with the Business Development Manager and internal stakeholders to develop recovery plans to address gaps in performance vs target
  • Build strong relationships with potential customers; represent and share their views and feedback within the wider organisation to help inform product, pricing and marketing strategy
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders & businesses across the automotive & technology sectors to stay informed of market trends, attending industry events to network & promote heycar’s products as appropriate
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients and maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions, sharing these with the Business Development Manager & internal stakeholders regularly
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient sales processes and hand-offs across the business, making sure there is straightforward onboarding of customers and that our Go-To-Market pitch is the best it can be

 

What you’ll need:

  • Proven success in growing revenue in a business-to-business (B2B) New Business or Automotive Sales environment with some understanding of the automotive market and industry trends
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques and comfortable developing a growing sales volume
  • Experience working with complex customers in an automotive sales or digital products environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand a client’s business needs and spot potential opportunities through the effective application of data and market insight
  • Experience delivering engaging presentations and the ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and across the automotive industry with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised with excellent time-management skills, good attention to detail and an intrinsic desire to deliver high-quality work
  • Resilient with the ability to challenge constructively and a drive to get stuck into whatever problems need solving
