JOB SUMMARY
The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the order fulfillment process from receipt to delivery. This role ensures accurate processing of customer orders, timely communication with customers, and coordination with various departments to meet customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize warehouse management software to wave, release, and track orders, ensuring accuracy in order details and inventory levels while following FIFO method.
Monitor and prioritize orders based on shipment deadlines, warehouse capacity, and inventory availability.
Maintain accurate records of all orders, updates, and communications within the order management system.
Collaborate closely with the inventory team to ensure stock availability and timely shipment of orders.
Prepare shipping documents and coordinate logistics, tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Generate reports on order status, fulfillment metrics, and customer feedback for management review.
Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for order tracking, inventory reports, and operational KPIs.
Manage the order waving process for all incoming orders.
Identify and troubleshoot issues in the order process, escalating to management as necessary.
Collaborate with sales, warehouse operations, and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance the overall customer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business or related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in order processing, customer service, or a related field.
Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with order management, warehouse management software (SAP & LISA) and shipping applications preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail a must.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently.
Assist in physical inventories.
Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
Daily use of a computer to process orders and create shipping labels.
