Herophilus is reinventing drug discovery for complex brain disorders by combining human brain models, scaled biology and machine learning to decode brain disease, from genetics to neural computation. We’re building a world-class high-throughput cell culture, microscopy, and bioassay platform that requires integration of industry-standard and custom proprietary robotic systems. We harness the resulting deep biological insights to systematically discover novel drugs for complex neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases with a higher probability of technical success. 

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate II to join our Biology team. You’ll work with a team of scientists and engineers and carry out the following responsibilities: 

  • Perform molecular biological assays, such as qPCR, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and/or Immunofluorescence staining and imaging according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform drug screens using manual and automation equipment
  • Maintain organoid cultures for platform development, disease phenotyping and drug screening
  • Culture mammalian stem cells and iPSCs
  • Prepare biological reagents, make buffers, aliquot biological samples, autoclave samples, lab maintenance and cleaning
  • Maintain experimental documentation

Additional responsibilities might also include:

  • Supporting data analysis


  • Preferred: B.Sc. in the field of Biological Sciences or equivalent experience as a technician / research associate in the biotech industry
