Engineering Pods (Teams) Overview: 

1) The Clinical Apps team builds and maintains the technology and features that our Medical and Care Providers need to provide a world class care experience to their members. We give them the necessary tools and a platform that facilitates providers and patients to find the right care and nurture them along their care journey.

2) The Processing & Pharmacy team builds and maintains the technology and features that allow Henry's internal customers and applications to seamlessly integrate in support of a patient's care journey.  We do end to end database deployments to ensure transparent, proven and affordable care.

3) The Growth team develops intuitive, secure and engaging growth marketing experiences that streamline user integration and promote sustained engagement for our services.  We create on-boarding and marketing strategies that are tailored to the needs of our customers while continuously measuring  and improving the user experience and ensuring data security and privacy.

4) The Engagement team is responsible for crafting and optimizing customer-facing applications. The Engagement Team builds and maintains the technology needed to allow customers to access telehealth appointments, manage their accounts, manage their medication, and keep customers engaged.

5) The Shared Services team builds the backbone of Henry Meds' engineering ecosystem. The team drives innovation by creating reusable libraries, frameworks, and robust backend services that empower our entire engineering department.  We shape the future of healthcare technology while enhancing developer experience and setting new standards for code quality and security.

6) The Mobile team is expanding our web application into a native offering within the App Store and Google Play Store. Our goal is to create iOS and Android applications so our customers can self-service more efficiently.

7) The SDET team is responsible for ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and maintainable. These engineers operate in an embedded environment, working alongside the software engineers throughout the SDLC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Collaboratively own existing backend services and guide the development of new features and functionality.
  • Design and evaluate backend technologies to effectively meet development objectives.
  • Support multiple internal applications and teams in a fast-paced, high trust environment.
  • Conduct integrations with 3rd party services. 
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Mentor and guide other developers.
  • Craft the tech stack, data model, and developer experience.
  •  Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Work on an autonomous, collaborative, high impact team that drives initiatives to completion.

You will likely have:

  • 6+ years of experience building successful production software system.
  • Expertise within our current tech stack which includes: .NET Core, C#, PostgreSQL, GraphQL (Hasura).
  • Experience implementing cloud solutions, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience modeling data and building APIs from scratch.
  • Deep understanding and experience with database technologies like SQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working within a multi-database environment and deploying code to production.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies and concepts such as RESTful or GraphQL APIs, Application Security (Authentication/Authorization), Data Security/Compliance, and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience with end to end deployment including CI/CD pipelines and unit testing.
  • Nice to have experience with Eventing systems, Datadog, Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google Pub/Sub, AWS SQS, HIPAA/HL7. 
  •  Experience working within a startup environment, bonus for telehealth experience.

You may have:

  • Experience working with .Net/C#, CI/CD, analytics and feature flags.
  • GraphQL (Hasura, Apollo).
  • Datadog or other robust monitoring and logging systems (Sentry, New Relic, Rollbar, etc).
  • Integration experience with iterable, heap, hubspot, etc.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full
    software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source
    control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Passion for development and ability to dig into solving problems.
  • Healthcare and start-up experience is a nice plus
