Role Overview:

The Manager of Health and Wellness is responsible for leading and managing a team of health and wellness coaches to ensure the delivery of high-quality, personalized wellness programs. This role involves overseeing daily operations, coaching performance, program development, and ensuring all services align with organizational goals for wellness, health, and client satisfaction. You’ll be the first hire in this discipline, giving you the unique opportunity to shape this program from the ground up. Your expertise in coaching, team management, and knowledge of the various treatment plans we offer will be crucial in delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of health and wellness coaches. Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews. Ensure the coaches are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and training to provide top-quality coaching services. Foster a positive, collaborative, and motivating team environment.
  • Program Development: Design and implement a personalized health and wellness coach offering for clients
  • Team Building: Over time, seek to establish and expand a high-performing wellness coaching team, including recruitment, training, and ongoing management.
  • Process Design: Create and optimize scalable, closed loop processes that ensure strong cross-functional collaboration, efficiency, and consistency in the discipline.
  • Client Management: Provide expert guidance and support to clients, addressing their unique health and wellness requirements, and tracking their progress alongside them.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with your team members in the Clinical department, as well as, cross-functional department leaders to integrate wellness coaching into our DNA and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and champion metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and wellness coaching, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role within the health education space while managing and mentoring other health coaches. Strong preference for ICF certification.
  • Specialization: In-depth knowledge of medications that the company offers patients, particularly GLP-1s.
  • Leadership: Prior experience in managing and mentoring other health coaches, with a strong ability to build and lead a team. Strong preference for ICF certification.  
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Education: Relevant certifications or degrees in nutrition, exercise science, and/or neuroscience-backed coaching programs. 
  • Bonus: ICF or similar certification from a recognized body.

Previously held positions that may be exceptionally suited for this role include: Fitness Coach, Nutritionist, Dietician, Lifestyle Coach, Personal Trainer, etc.

Compensation: 

  • Compensation is up to $90,000 annually based on experience.
