Helm Point Solutions is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Access Control Monitor in support of a contract for a customer in Ft. Meade. This individual should have basic computer and administrative skills and be willing to be trained as a Data Center Manager. This position could be a great stepping stone for an IT career or more advanced career in physical security depending on the candidate’s interest and drive. The customer is looking for someone who is process/detail oriented and organized. There is opportunity for promotion from junior to senior level.

Access Control Monitor/Data Center Manager - Junior  

The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts and assemblies within or between functional areas in accordance with installation, maintenance and shipping schedules or department supervisors’ priorities.  The Material Coordinator performs duties or specialized tasks associated with the activities of a specific warehouse or stockroom. 

Job responsibilities: 

  • Receives, stores and issues equipment, materials, supplies or tools
  • Compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard
  • Sorts or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications
  • Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material
  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special perpetual inventory of stock
  • Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders
  • Unpacks and stores new equipment, may attach identification tags on received materials
  • Reviews schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required
  • Establishes material delivery sequences according to job priority
  • Arranges for transfer of materials to meet schedules and for the repair and assembly of material required to meet schedules

Professional Experience and Education:

  • Requires minimum of High School Diploma and at least one (1) year of related experience in access control, Asset Management, Inventory management, property management or Warehouse management
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office based programs
  • Basic Database knowledge and experience in use
  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant is desired 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping and crawling
  • Ability to reach above the head and away from the body and with arms and hands
  • Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving of up to 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to use hand trucks, dollies, flat bed carts and pallet jacks, power and manual
