What You Will Be Doing:
As a member of the Electrical Engineering team, you will support the core of the worlds first fusion generator machine. You will support the main pulsed-energy drive systems for the magnetics, the energy recovery and re-distribution networks, the diagnostics, and the controls. You will also develop novel ways to measure and acquire this data from high noise, high field, and high voltage environments. You will report directly to our Electrical Engineering Manager at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:

Design, test, support, and troubleshoot components of low and high voltage electrical systems, operations up to 40kV

Support the sensors and control systems required for things like Rogowski Coils, CTs, HV probes, and optical conversion methods

Make independent decisions on solving engineering problems

Write requirements, specifications, and design reports

Prepare drawings for fabrication and procurement

Develop and document test plans

Present designs and troubleshooting analyses for technical review

Direct junior engineers, designers, and technicians
Required Skills:
-
1+ years of experience designing analog and digital circuits including low noise OpAmps, transimpedance amplifiers, charge integrating preamplifiers, shaping amplifiers, D/A conversion, PWM
-
1+ years experience leading small technical teams in solving complex problems

Mastery of power conversion topologies and understanding of operating characteristics of power electronic components such as IGBTs, power MOSFETs, and SCRs
-
Experience with control systems
-
Advanced in electronic troubleshooting systems using standard benchtop tools like oscilloscopes, Eloads, FRA, Arb waveform generators, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, DVMs, schematic capture, and PCB design software

Experience with Microsoft Suite, LTSpice, SIMtrex/Simplis, KiCAD, Altium, Matlab
The pay range for this position is $93k-175k. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
