Helaina is a VC-backed biotech startup creating a new category of functional food products.

Our vision is to bring the functional properties of human proteins to food. Helaina will be the first company to put human milk proteins into food, defining a new category of consumer nutrition products focused on supporting immunity. We will initially launch a first-of-its-kind infant formula – the only infant formula with immune-nourishing proteins found in human milk. We also see a range of opportunities to use our breast milk proteins to enhance other types of functional foods for all segments of the population.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will work with our NYC team to operationalize & support core parts of our growing business. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, motivated self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.

What You’ll Do:

  • Market research and analysis to inform product and business expansion decisions
  • Content development for diligence and presentation materials such as board decks, partnership presentations, investor presentations, financial models
  • Operational support for sales planning and execution
  • Ad hoc operations requests such as procurement, event management, etc. 

About You:

  • You are currently enrolled in a Masters or MBA degree program or equivalent degree
  • You are a proactive self-starter, working independently to move projects and tasks forward to completion
  • You work collaboratively on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • You think critically with demonstrated research and analysis skills 
  • You have exceptional organization, efficiency and attention to detail
  • You are comfortable working remotely and in a rapidly growing and evolving organization
  • You are passionate about for Helaina’s philosophy and mission
  • You have experience or demonstrated interest in startups
  • You have experience in the food sector or foodtech
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Agile, Monday, Miro and/or Google Drive

 

Compensation is an hourly rate of $25 per hour.
