👩‍💻The role

We are looking for a Head of Business Development Management - APAC to join our Business Team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead our commercial efforts and expansion in Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and other smaller markets. Leading a lean team of Business Development Managers, you will be the face and voice of Headout to our Supply Partners in the region.

🤩What makes this role special?

  • Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over Headout’s presence in the region. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch quickly, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details - from what cities or regions to launch next, to something as specific as ensuring the title of an experience really communicates the essence of it.
  • Nurture. Continuously nurture relationships with our existing Supply Partners in order to leverage them for additional growth.e growth and directly manage the overall P&L.
  • Collaborate.  You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including engineering, product, design, operations, finance, and marketing to build the business in this part of the world.
  • Shine. As a Sales leader for the region, you’ll set an example of superstar Sales techniques in pursuit of win-win type of deals as a routine.

💝What skills and experience do you need?

  • APAC origin or most of career in the APAC market preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, preferably in B2C e-commerce space
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Experience of leading lean sales and account management teams
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing complex deals
  • A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial mindset and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Experience working with a CRM; eager to learn and use new tools
  • Proficiency in a regional language is a must
