We do this by running a managed marketplace to the world’s most exceptional real-life experiences — from immersive tours to museums to live events and everything in between.

Headout has served tens of millions of guests from 196 countries (every single sovereign state on the planet) on one of our experiences across 100+ cities in 9 languages. Today, we have sales of 100s of millions of $s a year and are growing rapidly. Contrary to the norm, we deliver this scale and growth while being profitable. We've been unit profitable for 18 months + and have recently turned EBITDA profitable as well. We have raised $60M+ from top-tier investors and are building a durable company for the long term - because that's what our mission needs and deserves.

The Role:

The role involves building products and features within a pod while providing expertise in their domain to optimize the development process. The focus is on achieving the best outcomes possible, addressing gaps, and ensuring smooth operations. Additionally, the position requires designing and developing high-performance web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends, and optimizing web applications for maximum speed, performance, and reliability.

What skills & experience do you need?

  • Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing front-end platforms preferably in a high-growth startup.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Understanding of web development concepts such as responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience developing responsive designs using open source frameworks or even better, an attempt at your own framework.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
  • A willingness to learn and keep up with new technologies and industry trends.

Bonus:

  • Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby is a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases and experience with SQL is also a plus.
  • An interest in travel, local experiences, hospitality & interested in being an early employee at a growing company.
  • An experience in starting or scaling a successful startup.
  • Anything out-of-the-box that can surprise us.
