HCSS, an innovative construction software company based in Sugar Land (southwest Houston), TX and recognized as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Texas” 14 years in a row is looking for Entry-Level iOS Developers as we scale for rapid growth starting in mid-February at our office in Sugar Land, TX. You’ll be surrounded by a collaborative, high performing Agile team of 5-8 other software developers solving unique problems faced by our customers.
During your first two months, you’ll go through a PAID rigorous training program learning Swift programming and completing assignments to demonstrate a command of languages, libraries and other tools. We keep our class sizes small so you have more 1:1 attention with the instructor. However, you must be able to learn quickly and take the initiative to utilize resources outside of what is provided in order to succeed. After successfully completing the training, you’ll join the iOS team to work on our industry-leading products.
Preferably, you graduated from an accredited college/university program related to Computer Science/Computer Engineering. It’s not necessary, but if you worked on a couple iOS coding projects using Swift or Objective C and have knowledge of SQL, those factors are a huge plus. You must at least have a very good understanding of object-oriented programming and the ability to think algorithmically. You must also be able to report and commute to our office Monday-Friday.
Some of the items you’ll tackle include:
- Implementing features for your assigned HCSS product that’s significant in scope
- Understanding, debugging, and improving existing code libraries
- Consuming APIs to support mobile functionality
- Working with our technical support team and quality control specialists to resolve any iOS issues and troubleshoot customer problems and fix bugs
- Keeping up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding iOS apps
- Interacting with the developers and business teams and develop features that enhance the software
