Job Description:   

The Senior Supply Chain Specialist plans and executes supply orders and inventory transfers to maintain inventory by location in alignment with supply chain plans, demand requirements, and established target stock levels. Leads the overall inventory control process and reports global inventories monthly. Supports other supply chain activities, including packaging/labeling development, customer order fulfillment and materials/equipment shipments. 

Responsibilities:   

  • Monitors finished product inventory levels and coordinates national and international inventory transfers and replenishments based on supply chain plans, demand requirements and global / regional stocking strategies.
  • Plans and executes supply of assigned materials or product categories. Develops finite production scheduling and monitors external manufacturing operations, ensuring timely fulfillment and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Records release disposition in ERP system based on specification defined QC results. 
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Planning Manager to optimize supply and inventory positioning across multiple warehouse and distribution locations. 
  • Provides concise and timely supply elevations to leadership including potential impact to the supply plan and/or meeting demand requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Sources and procures packaging materials, ensuring adequate supply on hand at planned point of use.
  • Acts as single-point contact for procurement, inventory, assembly, and distribution of Trex, Datica and CA Applicators.  
  • Develops operating procedures for labeling, packaging, and order fulfillment at contract manufacturers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Incorporates product and process changes in Tech Transfer documentation. Trains internal and external stakeholders on internal processes, contributing to onboarding new 3PL partners as needed.
  • Oversees the packaging lab at Hazel’s HQ, including as needed seasonal packaging and shipping operations. Oversees lab 5S and ensures work is performed in an orderly and safe manner. 
  • Maintains inventory accuracy in ERP by ensuring all operations are completed accurately and timely, coordinating periodic cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies as needed. Tracks and maintains inventory accuracy and drives accountability within the organization. Acts as subject matter expert within the inventory, manufacturing and purchasing ERP modules.
  • Collaborates with the Accounting team to report monthly inventories globally and reconciles variances.  Coordinates, executes, and reports actual and anticipated inventory expiration within the overall S&OP process.
  • Participates in the New Product Introduction process, completing the necessary new item ERP set-up.
  • Supports the cost standard setting process annually for existing and new products.
  • Depending on the season, assists with sales order fulfillment and other logistics requirements.

Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in supply chain management or related field.
  • Overall 5+ years of supply chain or related field.
  • 3+ years of inventory management experience.
  • 3+ years of supply/inventory planning and purchasing experience.
  • 3+ years of vendor management experience.
  • 2+ years of ERP manufacturing, purchasing and inventory control experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Advanced Excel skills. 
  • Data analysis and visualization skills. 
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized and process oriented
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Global logistics experience preferred.
  • Cold chain experience preferred.
  • May be required to move items up to 30lbs.
  • Hybrid position with 2-3 days in the Chicago office.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Expected Salary Range: $80k-$100k, plus the ability to participate in Hazel’s medical, dental, vision, 401k program (with Company match), generous paid time off, complimentary membership to the gym at the Company’s Chicago headquarters, a partial work-from-home stipend, and participation in the Company’s social events and happy hours.

The range above is a good faith estimate of the base salary we expect to offer for this position. The actual salary offered may differ based upon the skills, qualifications, and experience of any particular candidate.
