We're looking for a GM in our Interior Define Studio at our Tysons Corner location. As a fast-growing start-up within Havenly Brands, our ideal candidate is eager to help us develop a high-end, personalized client experience in furnishing and designing a home they love.

What you'll do:

  • Sales: Supporting and upholding the Studio selling process from the first client touch-point through to purchase and follow-up ensuring each client has an exceptional experience whether over the phone, email, or in-studio
  • Management: Managing and developing the in-studio team members of Design Experts and Studio Associates to exceed sales goals and foster delightful client experiences; Ensure best practices are implemented to support the development and growth of the business.
  • Raising Brand Awareness: Provide leadership to uphold the Havenly values and culture within the internal team; Plan and develop community events; Support marketing efforts across our Retail Brands
  • Hiring and Training a Studio Team: Promote recruiting efforts and screen for local talent to create a dynamic and successful team; Train, mentor and grow the in-studio team to ensure each member maintains a high level of brand awareness, revenue goals, product knowledge, and internal updates

Who you are:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is driven by growth and excellence with the following credentials:

  • 4+ years experience in sales management and/or hospitality design
  • You have experience in building and leading a sales team to reach targeted goals within an exceptional client experience
  • You have clear and effective written and verbal communication including the ability to maintain a positive and friendly rapport with your in-studio team and clients.
  • You are self-motivated to learn new things, discover opportunities, solve problems, troubleshoot, ask questions, and reach out for support when necessary
  • You have a strong technical acumen including proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets and experience with Salesforce or a similar client management software. Knowledge and experience in design software is helpful
  • You are excited about building an innovative brand that prioritizes an elevated customer experience; you understand the nuances of individual client’s needs and can manage a project end-to-end while supporting your in-studio team to manage their projects successfully as well 
  • You can easily work cross-functionally through close coordination with our sales, operations, HR and marketing teams
  • You have a keen eye for design with an ability to discuss design dilemmas and provide product knowledge to support a client’s confidence in their purchases 

Additional Details: 

  • This is a full-time exempt position based onsite in McLean, VA. 
  • On target earnings of $90-110,000+ per year (75/25 split between base salary and bonus based on achievement of sales targets and KPIs).
