The Supply & Inventory planning team works with demand, sourcing, distribution and other cross-functional partners to develop production plans, optimize inventory and ensure high customer fulfillment rates.  

About the Role

The Senior Associate, Supply & Inventory Planning, will use S&OP and other inputs to develop time-phased supply plans and inventory policy for the Harry’s Inc. global supply chain for both existing products as well as the new product development pipeline.  The objective will be to determine the optimal inventory levels to achieve target customer service levels with a continuous improvement mindset.       

What you will accomplish

  • Optimize service and inventory levels by SKU at each location of the supply chain network (plant, co-packer, in transit, DC).
  • Closely collaborate with a global network of suppliers, with a focus on long-term relationship building, capacity planning, and timeliness.
  • Develop a clear set of KPIs and targets to monitor and improve production, service and inventory performance using ABC SKU categorization. 
  • Provide robust service reporting, root cause analysis and forward actions to achieve service goals.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers on all production and supply needs including but not limited to issuing purchase orders, managing short term and long term timelines, and future capacity needs. 
  • Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with cross functional teams by working closely to obtain high-quality demand, supply, logistics, distribution, finance and other inputs to create a robust assumption-based inventory plan.
  • Partner with the team to iterate and implement new processes by identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Track and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Model scenarios and understand impacts of changes to demand, supply and network assumptions. 
  • Escalate production delays, restocks, and supply risks internally.
  • Partner with MRP lead in the transition from excel based planning to best in class system planning. 

This should describe you

  • BA or equivalent preferably in a related area (supply chain, finance, engineering, economics)
  • 2-3 years of experience in supply and inventory planning in a CPG environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to develop inventory models to support a complex supply network.
  • Strong collaborative and influencer skill set in an S&OP environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
