We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Account Executive to join our Healthcare Communications team, joining a team of experts in product PR, patient advocacy, crisis management, disease awareness, corporate communications, and media relations. 

The Senior Account Executive provides high-quality public relations services to Hanover’s existing healthcare clients, together with timely research and administrative support for new business activity.

The Senior Account Executive is also responsible for supporting press conferences and media events and, to a lesser extent, providing administrative support for client meetings. Senior Account Executives are required to establish demonstrably credible working relationships with clients, where appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Stay abreast of the media, with the goal of identifying opportunities for coverage
  • Draft high quality materials for client review
  • Maintain relevant records of target stakeholder and audience groups relevant to your clients and sectors
  • Contribute towards and actively participate in events including press conferences and stakeholder events, as agreed with project managers
  • Deliver specifically assigned areas of each discrete/new project to agreed timescales, on budget and to a high quality
  • Conduct value-add research and produce high quality draft intelligence reports for existing clients and sector specific new business meetings
  • Draft client meeting agendas and effective action notes arising from internal account meetings and sector specific new business meetings, together with efficient maintenance of new business databases
  • Contribute towards selected new business pitches as part of the wider team

  • Promote and demonstrate the Hanover Values across the full range of the role
  • Contribute to opportunities for continuous improvement in all areas of role delivery and the wider team processes and practices
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and proactive attitude to assessing requirements, completing tasks and delivering results for clients and for Hanover
  • Contribute towards marketing activities/events to promote Hanover

Collaboration

  • Proactively establish relationships with your peers outside of your immediate team and across the wider business (including in other markets)
  • Take the time to understand what other teams in the business do (including in other markets)

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a relevant PR and communications position from either a UK public relations consultancy or in-house communications team
  • Good knowledge and understanding of healthcare communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good existing business media contacts and a string desire to broaden and deepen these relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised
  • Effective time management and strong organisational skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrable interest in UK media, business news and current affairs
