We are seeking one Intern who is passionate about healthcare/chemicals to join our Life Science Advocacy team at Hanover. 
 
Our healthcare team consists of a 3 full-time experts advising international life science companies and trade association. 
 
You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients on a EU and Global level, from the world's top healthcare companies to exciting new start-ups, ultimately helping patients and life science professionals across numerous disciplines. 

This is an ideal opportunity for bright and driven individuals who are looking to break into the world of life science/chemicals public affairs. There will be on-the-job training, networking opportunities, as well as invitations to attend training courses related to the industry. 
 
About You

We highly encourage people with a diversity of backgrounds to apply. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include helping drafting policy materials, policy monitoring, evaluation and research services, events support (organization and attendance) as well as administrative support with clients and for new business activity. 
 
Skills and experience: 

  • A keen interest in healthcare and life science as well as in chemicals 
  • Strong understanding of the EU institutions and the EU decision-making process.  
  • Previous relevant internship experience in one of the EU institutions or healthcare/chemicals-relevant advocacy organisations.  
  • Experience at other agencies is an advantage.  
  • Knowledge of EU healthcare/chemicals policies and general functioning of the EU institutions.  
  • Strong research and analytical skills. 
  • Excellence in written and spoken English is essential. 
  • Fluency in other European languages is an advantage. 
  • Strong personal time management and organisation skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Accuracy and close attention to detail. 
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to operate effectively and collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Comfortable with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

The Internship will be paid. Brussels-based, our hybrid working requires you attend our Square de Meeus office three days a week.
