OVERVIEW:

This role exists to own, develop, and implement the merchandise financial plan & planning process, and inventory strategies with strong merchant, supply chain, store, and other cross-functional partnerships. 

Please note this is a hybrid role partially based in our New York City office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate. You must also be authorized to work in the United States. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Responsible for:

  • Lead development and execution of strategic planning initiatives for Gymshark North America, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. 
  • Own the North America OTB process end to end, including Sales, Margin and stock management in partnership with Global Planning. 
  • Manage commercial calendar for North America market. 
  • Daily management of NAM market financial targets. 
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across all internal and external functions and partners. 
  • Lead and develop a team of planners, setting clear expectations and creating an environment that fosters innovation and best practice. 
  • Oversee completion of forecasting, financial models, weekly business reporting and other analysis to support decision making and measure performance against plan. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in Gymshark planning processes and tools. 

Accountable for:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive profitable growth. 
  • Participate in and manage cross-functional initiatives to develop/enhance processes, data and systems to support trade. 
  • Accountable for facilitating the movement of the performance needle in all manager-based metrics of employee engagement. 
  • Manage budgeting process and work closely with finance teams to optimize stock whilst achieving goals. 
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential opportunities or threats and adjust strategies accordingly. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Business-focused Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning 
  • Strong with Excel and comfortable with financial metrics 
  • Led a team of merchandise planners before 
  • Proven forecasting skills and relationship management experiences 
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines 
  • Track record delivering initiatives from conceptualization through completion of large-scale projects 
  • Understand the nature of a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be comfortable with ambiguity during times of transition

This role has a salary range between $144,000-$174,000 The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills.
