a core feature for our product lineup. This will be your baby to nurture and watch grow over the
course of 10-weeks. You'll be involved in project meetings, whiteboard sessions, and monthly
company get togethers.

This internship is not only about how well you code; it’s about how you lend your positivity and

  • Someone who isn't afraid to dive into the documentation
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology
  • Willingness to accept criticism on code.
  • Someone that doesn't take themselves too seriously.
  • Applicants should be at least a Junior in college. By the end of the internship you will have fully assimilated into Guru’s engineering team. While full-time employment isn’t guaranteed after completion of the program, successful candidates may be considered for full-time employment based upon performance and open positions on the team.
  • This internship is only open to candidates living in the greater Philadelphia area and relocation assistance is not available.

What you'll be doing:

  • Implement a feature using React
  • Debug issues and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Conform to modern best practices and coding standards
  • Implement unit tests. You test your code... right....?!?!
  • Read and produce technical documentation

How it works:

We’ve got a three step application process before sending out those final offer letters.
1) The initial application
2) Take home assessment
3) Onsite Intern Interview Day
  • We are accepting applications through March 1st, 2020. Candidates that are selected to move forward to each stage will be notified via email.  Final interviews at the Guru offices, in Center City Philadelphia, will be held in early April 2020.
  • Candidates interested in applying to both front end & backend internships will need to complete two separate applications. If chosen to move forward, candidates must complete the respective take home assessment for each team.

Benefits to you:

  • Competitive pay!
  • One on one mentorship from our experienced engineering team
  • Chance to work with cutting edge front end technologies like Web Extensions and React!

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

Because we do business with the government, we must reach out to, hire, and provide equal opportunity to qualified people with disabilities1. To help us measure how well we are doing, we are asking you to tell us if you have a disability or if you ever had a disability. Completing this form is voluntary, but we hope that you will choose to fill it out. If you are applying for a job, any answer you give will be kept private and will not be used against you in any way.

If you already work for us, your answer will not be used against you in any way. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we are required to ask all of our employees to update their information every five years. You may voluntarily self-identify as having a disability on this form without fear of any punishment because you did not identify as having a disability earlier.

How do I know if I have a disability?

You are considered to have a disability if you have a physical or mental impairment or medical condition that substantially limits a major life activity, or if you have a history or record of such an impairment or medical condition.
