The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in the company's overall sales performance, as they are responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth. The sales targets set for the role are designed to ensure that the company achieves its financial objectives and maintains its competitive position in the market.

The success of the Business Development Manager is measured by their ability to exceed sales targets, which requires a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, a keen awareness of market trends, and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

The BDM must have excellent communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain relationships with key agency partners. Through ongoing engagement with these partners, the SBDM can ensure that the company's digital advertising products are represented effectively and that clients achieve their desired campaign outcomes.

The role of the Business Development Manager is critical because they are responsible for driving sales growth and evangelising the company's digital advertising products to agency partners. Their success in meeting sales targets is essential to the company's overall financial performance and maintaining a competitive edge in the market

What You'll Achieve

  • Drive revenue and new business for the national independent agency team, focusing on agency spend and securing new revenue in Australia.
  • Upsell current clients on existing and new products, providing market insight to key brands and agencies.
  • Prospect for new business through high-volume sales activities such as meetings, presentations, sourcing RFPs, and innovative sales solutions.
  • Maintain internal systems for forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (campaign management, production, design, supply) to ensure successful campaign implementation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with agencies and clients to align with their marketing and advertising goals.
  • Provide client feedback to internal product teams for better service.

Skills You'll Bring

  • BA/BS in Business (Advertising/Marketing) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital media sales, preferably in Sydney, with proven success in meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-starter with a proactive, driven, and organized approach.
  • Able to take feedback constructively and continuously seek improvement.
