The Account Executive is an individual contributor role responsible for prospecting and closing sales in GumGum’s Market Leading Advertising platform. Reporting to the Managing Director, JP, this role is responsible for leading and developing key relationships and strategy across agencies and advertisers. We expect the Account Executive to drive value for our clients through GumGum products & cultivate and maintain relationships with those key agencies. 

The Account Executive is a self motivated leader who can work with internal teams and is committed to achieving and exceeding sales goals while growing GumGum’s products in their allocated region.

What You'll Achieve

  • Strategic Sales - Work with the Managing Director in developing, managing and executing strategic sales opportunities
  • Drive Revenue in the Japanese Market - Responsible for the agency & brand direct business in our JP region. i.e.
    • Sales Prospecting, Hunting and Farming - Expectation to generate a high volume of sales related activity including presentations, RFP’s, innovative sales solutions, and mid-term / long-term partnership development.
  • Relationship Development - Cultivate, maintain and grow relationships with agency / brand contacts  to gain deep insight into their business and ultimately provide GumGum solutions for their marketing and advertising goals. 
  • Translate Client Insight to internal Operation Team - Provide thorough and prompt feedback to the company on how to best service clients’ needs
  • Internal Collaboration - Work with designated Account Manager(s) and other internal team member(s) to ensure sold proposals are successfully implemented and aligned with client expectations in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration with international teams at GumGum - Proactively reach out to our colleagues in other regions at GumGum to gain understanding/insights of shared international advertisers, agencies and DSPs, and explore opportunities to import / export best practices with each other.

    • 見込み顧客の発掘、新規顧客の獲得、顧客のリテンション促進:プレゼンテーション、提案、クリエイティブなセールスアプローチ、中長期を見据えたパートナーシップの開発など。
  • 顧客との関係の構築:広告代理店や広告主顧客とのコンタクトを維持、育成、拡大します。顧客のビジネスを深く理解し、顧客のマーケティングおよび広告目標のために最適なGumGumソリューションを提案・提供することが求められます。
  • 顧客から得られた知見の社内チームへの伝達:顧客のニーズに最も適したサービスを提供するため、社内チームに的確で迅速なフィードバックを提供します。
  • 社内チームとの協力・連携:担当アカウントマネージャーおよび他の社内チームメンバーと協力して、受注した案件がクライアントの期待に沿って適切なタイミングで実施されるようにします。
  • GumGumの海外チームとの協力・連携:GumGumの海外拠点との積極的な情報連携を通じ、グローバルで共通する広告主、広告代理店、DSPを理解し、ベストプラクティスを日本市場と海外市場との間で輸入/輸出する機会を探ります。

 

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with solutions selling, with a strong understanding of, or keen interest in, the online media landscape
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success selling to brand advertisers and agencies in Japan.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and business models.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to articulate GumGum’s value proposition and vision in a compelling fashion.
  • Excellent written, oral, and PPT communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as, Salesforce is a plus.
  • Quick at problem solving internally and externally while managing stakeholders through the process.
  • Fundamental understanding of business drivers (P/L, Operating Statement, COGS, Revenue, etc.)
  • Applies analytical skills to interpret data and uses independent judgment and discretion in developing solutions to a variety of work problems.
  • Native-level written and verbal communication skills in Japanese. Written and verbal communication skills in English a plus, but not required.
  • Looking for someone who is hungry and motivated and passionate about our product
  • Outgoing and can build and maintain/grow client relationships at all levels
  • Proactive not reactive in approach
  • Sense of urgency in everything they do

  • 2年以上のソリューション営業経験、及びデジタルメディア・広告に関する知識または強い関心をお持ちの方。
  • 自らのイニシアティブにより営業目標を達成した実績がある方。
  • 日本国内の法人顧客を対象とした商談・セールススキルのある方(広告主企業や広告代理店に対する営業経験をお持ちの方を優遇します)。
  • デジタルメディア・広告の概念やビジネスモデルに関する知識や理解のある方。
  • 優れた対人コミュニケーションスキルやネットワーキングスキルをお持ちの方。
  • GumGumの理念(Thoughtful / Agility / Grit)を理解し体現できる方。
  • 書面・口頭・PPTなど形式を問わず、優れたプレゼンテーションスキルをお持ちの方。
  • CRMツール(Salesforceなど)に関する知識・経験をお持ちの方。
  • 社内外のステークホルダーと建設的なプロセスを通してスピーディーに問題を解決できる方。
  • ビジネスの概念に関する基本的理解をお持ちの方(P/L、営業損益計算書、売上原価、レベニューなど)。
  • データを読み解いたり分析する力があり、様々な問題解決に活かすことができる方。
  • 英会話力(ビジネス英語)歓迎 ※必須ではありません。
