The Ad Operations Specialist is part of GumGum’s growing Ad Operations team, whose primary responsibilities include the management, optimization and analysis of all ads throughout the GumGum platform. The Ad Operations Specialist will focus their attention on a number of strategic ongoing relationships. This candidate will also coordinate the development of improvements to existing systems & processes in conjunction with the Account Management and Engineering teams. Lending technical and operational know-how to help better support and inform our sales and planning teams, our clients, and our product teams, ensuring we continue to offer best-in-class network services for brands of all sizes.

Note: This position offers the opportunity for remote work or 'work from home' as there isn't a nearby office. What You'll Achieve

  • Campaign Management
    • QA, Monitor and Optimize campaigns to ensure the highest possible metrics while pacing campaigns accordingly.
    • Responsible for handling and organizing upwards of 20-30 unique campaigns at a time, throughout each quarter.
    • Consult with the other team members to ensure the success of all campaigns and the satisfaction of the client.
    • Provide end of campaign reports to Accounting and performance metric reports for Upper Management on the success of campaigns.
    • Effectively use a variety of tracking/monitoring tools to ensure campaign brand safety and success
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
    • Work with team leaders and Engineering teams to test & improve new and existing product developments.
    • Work closely with Pre Sales teams to formulate media plans and campaign strategies
    • Collaborate across multiple departments to analyze insights data and provide deliverables pre/mid/post-campaign
    • Troubleshoot discrepancies, technical issues, and participate in a variety of testing to find solutions
  • Analytics and Efficiencies
    • Ability to deliver 90%+ of campaign goals in full with supervision
    • Analyze data across campaigns to determine best practices and disseminate this information to stakeholders.  
    • Work across campaigns and teams to test efficiencies and new processes

Skills You'll Bring

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant Ad Operations or technical client service experience including trafficking, optimizing and pacing digital advertising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with self-serve and auction ad platforms
  • At least 1 years of experience collecting data-driven insights using analytic tools such as Looker & Datorama.
  • Experience with various ad serving systems (DCM), data management platforms (DMPs), demand side platforms (DSPs), and research study vendors.
  • Has knowledge on common KPIs and the ability to optimize toward them 
  • Strong written and spoken English is required; Must be able to communicate effectively in English for all aspects of the role
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a prerequisite for this role, this position requires the need to communicate effectively with US-based clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong spreadsheet manipulation
  • Ability to think strategically, create a plan and execute on all phases while practicing excellent time management and working in a self-directed fashion
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve quickly and through the proper escalation process
  • Ability to operate independently, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in an organized manner
  • Self-starter mentality with a high energy level and enthusiasm for digital technology
  • Proactive attitude with strong project management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across Customer Success & Operations
