Responsibilities: 

  • Writing articles for the US to be published on the Guinness World Records global website 
  • Creating a constant flow of posts for the Guinness World Records Instagram channel, including pulling assets and writing captions.These posts will stem from overarching categories of content outlined by the Senior Digital Marketing Manager. They include: memes, quotes, evergreen content, new articles 
  • Crafting content that relates to national holidays or events as labeled on the global content calendar 
  • Suggesting new forms of online content based on industry trends and news 
  • Cross-checking the Days of Notes calendar used to fulfill the global content calendar 
  • Working with Records Management Team (RMT) to receive records that relate to global days of note to keep an ongoing catalog of potential content opportunities 
  • Editing and cropping photos in photoshop 
  • Updating the global content calendar with weekly Instagram posts 
  • Pulling content from our B2B section of the site to be featured on the company’s LinkedIn page;creating basic captions and bitly links for support 
  • Contributing ideas for the 2021 KSP period, which includes all holiday related campaigns 
  • Scheduling upcoming social media promotion for campaigns and events 

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Creative and willing to think outside the box 
  • Knowledgeable in several forms of digital media, including social channels and video editing 
  • Comfortable in fast paced environment and adaptable to last minute changes and projects 
  • Willing to think proactively and plan weeks in advance 
  • Independent worker who can take direction and execute 
  • Familiar with data analytics and how to read and research material in different subjects 
  • Able to work remote and for college credit 

           Knowledgeable in:

  • Adobe Photoshop 
  • Content Management Systems 
  • Adobe Premiere (not required)  

Experience: 2-3 previous internships in digital work; senior level college student. Knowledge in social media, content writing, and news trends
