We are excited to welcome passionate Assistant Teachers to support our Infant and Toddler classrooms at Guidepost Montessori!
Your Role:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Assistant Guide (Teacher) to assist in creating a nurturing Montessori environment for our infants and toddlers. In a Montessori classroom, guides (teachers) meticulously prepare an environment that fosters independence and curiosity. They provide tailored, one-on-one and small-group lessons, guiding children through activities and helping them understand the world around them.
With a Montessori environment that promotes self-directed learning and exploration, children can pursue their interests at their own pace. Our assistant guides play a crucial role in helping each child develop essential skills, self-confidence, and a strong belief in their abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe children closely to understand their individual needs
- Maintain a beautifully organized, child-friendly environment that encourages independence and concentration
- Support children through individual and small-group lessons
- Build meaningful connections with each child and cultivate a respectful, collaborative community
Ideal Candidates Have:
- Experience working with children ages 0-6
- A warm, nurturing approach to supporting young children’s development
