If you are looking for part-time, flexible work join our Substitute Teacher pool. Limited experience or availability won't be an issue! This position will support multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms ranging from infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary. No formal Montessori training is needed to apply. We will provide training as part of your orientation and on-boarding.
This is an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation. Our campuses serve children from birth to 6 years old. You have the option to sub at all or some of our campuses in the greater Austin area (Bee Cave, Westlake, Cypress Creek, Brushy Creek, Round Rock). If you only have a few hours a day, or a few days a month, this is a position for you! Be off by 6pm and no weekend work is required.
The Substitute Teacher role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori. Many of our substitutes ultimately transition into full-time Assistant or Lead Teachers with us when new openings become available. Hours for the position and days worked vary based on the needs of the school. As a Substitute you can accept or decline the work offered to you.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Warm and friendly demeanor
- Preferred if you have ECE units or have recent teaching experience with children 0-6
- Availability between 7am and 6pm
