Grindr (NSYE: GRND) is the largest GBTQ+ Social App in the world, used by over 14M+ monthly users in nearly every country in the world, with industry-leading engagement (over 61 minutes per day, greater than Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snap) and over 1M+ paying subscribers globally. Grindr has a significant opportunity to drive growth internationally, having grown organically to over 190+ countries around the world, without having fully localized or internationalized our product and business model.

As Grindr’s Head of International, you will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and lead our cross-functional international growth and expansion efforts globally. This leader will drive our growth across the globe, identifying which markets to prioritize, developing our product and business strategy to grow, and organizing a cross-functional team to execute that growth.

Bringing your expertise in international strategy you will launch new markets, evaluate product market fit, and drive user acquisition efforts. This role will be an incredible opportunity for you to put your business mindset to work to develop and communicate a compelling roadmap for our international efforts, build and lead a cohesive distributed team, energize the company behind your vision, and serve the largest global network of 14+ mil members of the queer community.

What’s the job?

  • Establish and own the global growth strategy, being responsible for our full business growth in international markets
  • Analyze local data and market trends to determine best expansion opportunities for growth, particularly taking into account the nuances within our unique customer segment
  • Identify “quick wins” in localization strategy to drive further MAU growth in our saturated markets
  • Launch and grow new and emerging markets: develop our user acquisition strategy to grow our MAU, our localization and product strategy, and our pricing model in target emerging markets to drive revenue growth.
  • Deploy and manage on the ground resources, if necessary, in key high growth markets
  • Lead product and engineering teams on a product roadmap specific to local markets
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team in setting overall growth strategy for the company
  • Performance Monitoring:  Analyze data sets and monitor key performance indicators via regular audits and assessments, to identify growth progress, making any necessary adjustments quickly
  • Build out and lead a team of talented leaders that will own regional/country responsibilities as needed.

What we’ll love about you:

  • 12-15 years of experience focused on product-led growth, leading global/international expansion strategy
  • Prior experience launching in emerging markets -- LatAm & APAC regions are a huge plus
  • Keen understanding of growth levers in a DTC/Subscription model, with a successful track record of driving hyper-growth
  • Ownership and Accountability. You take ownership over outcomes, and do whatever it takes to deliver results, demonstrating grit, tenacity, flexibility, and speed
  • Deep experience as a product leader, working cross functionally with product on growth
  • Demonstrated experience building localization strategies for both emerging and mature markets
  • An innate hunger to drive business development opportunities and build something from the ground up
  • Strong analytical skills, including working with large data sets to identify and solve business problems
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with proven experience implementing automations for better workflows; ideally with in depth knowledge of how to use AI to do this
  • Strong XFN relationship management skills, including the ability to influence and drive consensus among senior leadership
  • Prior experience hiring and leading local teams

We’ll really swoon if you have

  • Experience working with marginalized communities including the LGBTQ community
  • Experience launching new markets across several continents

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
