Technical Applications Specialist Position Overview: 

Technical Application Specialists are the interface between Grenova’s laboratory equipment and lab scientists.  They travel the world working with innovative, green technology in labs, providing customer support, training customers, and providing workflow and application solutions.  This person will work in the field to provide excellent; quality applications support pre and post-sale for customers. This individual will be working within a multi-disciplinary, cross-organizational team. This position is responsible for supporting existing accounts as well as cultivating new opportunities, working in parallel with the sales team.  Duties will require availability for an average of 70-80% travel time to customer sites.  This position is home office based.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience working in the life sciences, clinical, diagnostics, or process automation industries.
  • Experience working in a lab environment, clinical or diagnostic is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Experience working in a cross-organizational, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly customer oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Available for an average of 70-80% travel.
  • Proficient with computer productivity software. (i.e. MS Office, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current passport and be available for international travel.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds at times.

Preferred experiences:

  • Understanding of lab testing, applications, and assays.
  • Knowledge of lab automation is a plus.
  • Experience working with mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • 3-10 years’ work experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance, researching and recommending new opportunities as well as product & service improvements.
  • Communicate with customers to determine needs and explain complex issues.
  • Utilize technical knowledge for instrument installation in laboratory environments.
  • Serves as customer facing technical resource and works to provide effective end user support.
  • Provide technical service and support after product installation at the customer site.
  • Provide support and guidance to the customer during the validation/qualification of Grenova products.
  • Assist Sales team by attending customer meetings and providing technical expertise as requested.
  • Actively work in coordination with customers and internal team to gather data and develop white papers.
  • Perform instrument demonstration for customers in person or remotely as needed.
  • Attend industry shows and conferences as needed.
  • Develop and improve key company processes that support our mission of building a world-class customer support organization.
  • Act as conduit of customer feedback to Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Research & Development teams.
