Position Summary:

You are our passionate leader for your product category within Greenworks. In the role of a Product Manager – Power tools/Lifestyle, you are part of a team responsible for both product planning and product management of Greenworks Power tools and Lifestyle Products. You are the product leader at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience (UX). Your role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership — most notably between our engineering, marketing, sales, and support teams.

Your role includes managing a series of cordless products throughout the entire product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining our product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver best-in-class winning products. You continuously analyze market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. You also ensure that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Determine customers' needs and desires by specifying and conducting the primary and secondary research needed to obtain relevant market information
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Continuously assess market competition and voice-of-customer by comparing the company's product to competitors' products. Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives
  • Develop new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and marketing
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Develop time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  • Responsible to achieve objectives as they relate to agreed-upon time-to-market, customer expectations, target cost, margin, and profit objectives.
  • Perform product demos to customers and our sales team
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Develop sales enablement tools and collateral
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Performs other duties as required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-year experience as a Product Manager
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent, innovative products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
