The Role 

Green Thumb is looking for a talented, creative, and ready-to-act Visual Merchandising Specialist to support our growing cannabis product line nationally through exceptional brand execution. The Visual Merchandising Specialist will ensure that our brand vision and a consistent brand experience is brought to life across select dispensary locations and during special events designed to bring GTI brands to life with impactful visual merchandising. As a Visual Merchandising Specialist with Green Thumb, you will partner with brand marketing teams to execute our visual merchandise initiatives in our partner dispensaries and execute merchandise displays for events. The Visual Merchandising Specialist will ensure that external partner leadership is set up for and maintains design concepts, visual display standards, and proper maintenance of merchandising efforts. As we continue to rapidly expand, we are looking for candidates with drive, hustle, and an ability to work independently in this newly created role.  

Responsibilities 

  • Partners with Brand team, Retail Marketing and Store Designer to understand and execute retail merchandising standards and product placement that is reflective of trend, reinforces brand messaging, and inspires the customer to engage with GTI brands  
  • Executes GTI brand displays in RISE retail and select retail partners, and at special events based on the team priorities calendar 
  • Works closely with dispensary leadership, event coordinators, the internal Brand Team, and Retail Marketing to make sure all displays and merchandising are having a positive effect on revenue and connects customers with GTI brands 
  • Responsible for the coordination of inventory, and distribution of display collateral, visual merchandising props and auxiliary retail display units 
  • Has a strong understanding of trend and style that is reflective of the brand 
  • Ensures the execution of all retail display presentation inclusive of merchandising and display execution  
  • Works with the 3rd party store teams to assess and execute retail displays that reflect our GTI brands  
  • Provides insight to store design team in relationship to merchandising, display and fixture needs 

Qualifications  

  • Minimum one year of Retail Visual Merchandising experience rqeuired; Three years of Retail Visual Merchandising experience preferred
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence strategic partners 
  • Demonstrated experience in field visual merchandising; window displays, signage, interior displays and space utilization
  • Strong Microsoft Suite experience required including word, powerpoint, and excel; Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
  • Creative and innovative in their approach and ability to execute with a strong eye for detail
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced, retail environment 

Working Conditions 

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs 
  • Ability to work early mornings, nights and weekends as required.   
  • 80% Travel Required 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
