POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Compliance Technician supports overseeing our facility. In this role, you’ll be responsible for remaining compliant with all our assets, equipment, and property in our production site, and you’ll be the person to welcome our employees and visitors. Cannabis is a highly regulated product, so we need someone with a head for strict rules and regulations and someone who comes into work each day ready for the fast pace of a new and booming industry. The goal for this role is to ensure compliance with all Green Thumb corporate procedures, as well as applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations, ordinances, and regulations.  

2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm ET

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all department specific safety practices including the use of PPE and adhering to all department specific SOPs.
  • Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the designated work area, including supporting all 5S requirements.
  • Remain compliant with all safety training requirements. Promptly report safety concerns, including near miss situations and observe and report any unlawful activity.
  • Protect individuals, property, and proprietary information from harm or misappropriation.
  • Control access to premises
  • Support investigations and take the appropriate lawful actions on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activity, safety, and fire.
  • Neutralize situations calmly with tact and common sense. Watch for safety and fire hazards and other related situations.
  • Enforce policies and procedures of the company. Provide assistance to customers, employees, visitors, or the public.
  • Perform requests by the site leadership or HR team within scope of compliance and security duties or within reason.
  • Train new compliance hires and inform other staff of safety and security procedures and policies.
  • Track and record all required events such as checking doors, monitoring cameras, etc.
  • Conduct internal audits to support monitoring site compliance to GTI corporate and State regulations.
  • Support monitoring compliance to established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidance.
  • Accurate tracking and data entry of all requirements
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform improvement projects as identified and other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task 
  • Ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks. 
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. 
  • Must be able to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements. 
  • Must be able to work at heights. 
  • Effectively follow state and company compliance requirements 
  • Excellent customer service, time management and organization skill 
  • Must be able to work variable day shifts dependent on business need. 
  • Ability to follow written procedures and monitor others for adherence to written procedures. 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must possess a valid state ID 
  • Must be obtain and maintain approval right to be badged in the cannabis industry (state specific requirements including background, fingerprints, etc.) 
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
