The Role

RISE Lounge & Smokeasy is seeking a Lounge Server to be the ultimate guide to the consumption lounge experience. The Lounge Server role includes delivering exceptional customer service and lounge experience through product knowledge, tutorial and selection on how to use the devices. The ideal candidate actively monitors the overall guest experience, takes drink orders and independently manages their sections through collaborative work with the rest of the team.  

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the overall guest’s consumption experience including handling purchasing of product, processing sales compliantly and follow purchase limits, device assistance and serving drink orders 
  • Work the host stand and support with scheduling of reservations, guest inquiries and inform guests of upcoming events 
  • Understand all the products carried in the lounge, all devices on the menu, and all the consumption methods available to guests 
  • Alerting the appropriate staff members and partners of customers who over consume in a professional & courteous manner 
  • Provide assistance and knowledge on temperate settings on all ancillary devices to provide a safe and enjoyable experience 
  • Take and serve drinks orders  
  • Communicate effectively with the host to ensure that all guest information is fully up to date on the status of their reservation 
  • Make a positive first impression and ensure an excellent customer experience is provided to our guests  
  • Monitor table and device cleanliness throughout service  
  • Work with other lounge servers and team members to ensure the venue is ready for opening / closing daily  
  • Understand the menu to help guests make an informed choice and to upsell products when possible 
  • Stock all side stations continuously during service 
  • Interacts with the lounge guests, fellow employees, supervisors, managers and all GTI leadership in a polite, courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality 
  • Meticulously wash, clean, polish and dry bongs, devices, glassware, and supplies by hand, ensuring they are sanitary 
  • Handle bongs and glassware carefully to prevent breakage and loss 
  • Clean work area including equipment, tables, floors, keep all storage areas clean and orderly 

Requirements

  • General understanding of the customer experience as it pertains to table maintenance / steps of service 
  • Able to obtain knowledge of ancillary devices used in the consumption of cannabis if preferred 
  • Able to obtain Servsafe Food Handlers Card 
  • Previous hospitality experience with strong emphasis on customer experience 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Exposure to cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be comfortable being around cannabis consumption
  • Must pass any and all required background checks 
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry 
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
