Summary
Assists Manager, Production in overseeing daily activities within the designated production area including organizing, administering, and monitoring production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities within the Production department, in conjunction with other departments, to ensure the project meets the established production schedule.
- Assists Manager, Production in making scheduling, staffing and resource allocation decisions.
- Assists in prioritizing and adjusting capacities to meet requirements.
- Assists in analyzing budget hours and impact on schedule and next phase requirements.
- Identifies any shortages, parts, tools, or supplies and provides all necessary items to keep production on schedule.
- Identifies and implements process improvements and eliminates non-value-added activity.
- Assists Manager, Director and other Production Supervisors to develop teamwork through cross-training.
- Develops and evaluates skills with continuous communication and feedback with employees.
- Monitor’s quality and schedule requirements.
- Provides technical direction as needed to lead shop personnel.
- Trains, encourages, and instructs others.
- Composes and administers employee reviews/appraisals.
- Enforces and adheres to policies as outlined in employee handbook.
- Maintains a neat, organized work area and helps with the general daily housekeeping of the department.
- Complies with safety rules and procedures and remains alert for unsafe conditions. Addresses unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
- Meets target hours and completes schedules as set by management.
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with five years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated skills. Three years of previous people management experience preferred. Aerospace background and aircraft interior industry experience required. Vocational and technical schooling preferred.
Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally communicate).
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving. Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supervising employee/team in a productive and efficient manner.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
- Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance/able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Able to reach overhead.
- Able to work in a non-dust-free environment.
- Normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks).
- Full range of motion with both hands.
- Can work in a stooping, kneeling, or standing position and in cramped areas.
The expected WA salary range for this position is between $67,896.00 - $93,357.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
