Greenlight Guru is seeking a highly analytical and strategic professional to oversee the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function including budgeting, reporting, processes, and systems. This role will lead the budgeting, planning, and forecasting functions working with the relevant stakeholders and leaders within the organization sharing insights throughout the process. You will ensure seamless workflows for forecasting and planning, deliver insightful reports on financial and SaaS metrics, and provide actionable data-driven recommendations to the executive leadership team.   You will also lead the administration and optimization of financial tools like Vena, Google Sheets, and other platforms while evaluating and implementing new or alternative technologies to enhance efficiency and team productivity. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including all GTM teams, revenue operations, product & engineering, accounting, HR, and executive leadership, to support initiatives around budgeting, pricing, M&A opportunities, and strategic planning. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting & Planning
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and update forecasts throughout the year
    • Partner with departmental leaders to manage budgets, identify risks and opportunities, and implement cost-effective strategies
    • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial goals
    • Track and forecast cash and collections
  • Reporting & Analytics 
    • Build and maintain executive leadership dashboards, generate reports, and provide insights on key SaaS & financial metrics
    • Analyze data, identify trends, and present actionable insights to the executive leadership team through in-depth analysis of financial and operational data
    • Leverage budget v actual analysis and reporting to provide insights into performance, trends, and remaining budget to the leadership team
    • Regularly source SaaS Benchmarking reports and provide comparisons against our performance and plan metrics
    • Partner with RevOps to provide commission and quota attainment tracking and reporting
    • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with strategic objectives
    • Support board and lender reporting and compliance requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration Tasks

    • Partner in initiatives to optimize pricing, customer acquisition, retention, and other key business drivers
    • Partner with the CFO and leadership team on M&A opportunities, fundraising efforts, and investor relations
    • Collaborate with sales leadership and RevOps to develop accurate forecasts and strategic sales plans
    • Monitor competition and Med Device industry trends for growth, funding, geographic changes, acquisitions, etc.
    • Partner with RevOps and sales leadership in designing sales incentive plans and tracking performance against targets
  • Systems & Process Management
    • Oversee the administration of our FP&A Platform (Vena) and other Google Sheet Models and regularly evaluate alternatives that could better suit our needs
    • Update and build new models in Vena & Google Sheets/ Excel
    • Support the Finance team in evaluating, implementing, and training the team on finance tools to improve productivity and performance (Evaluate Vena, Mosaic, and Pigment)
    • Ensure we have effective and efficient workflows for our planning & forecasting processes
    • Ensure we have a repeatable cadence for delivering reports and insights to various stakeholders (both internal and external)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of FP&A or finance operations experience, ideally in SaaS or MedTech
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and dashboard-building skills
  • Proficiency with FP&A tools (e.g., Vena) and advanced Google Sheets/Excel
  • Experience optimizing workflows, tracking KPIs, and analyzing SaaS metrics
  • Proven ability to partner with leadership, GTM teams, RevOps, and product on strategic initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

This role will be located within a commutable distance of Indianapolis, Sacramento, or the San Francisco Bay Area. The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000, though the actual base salary is determined by factors such as, but not limited to, experience, education, skills, and geographic location. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and equity.
