Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. 

Role Overview: 

Grassroots Analytics is seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Marketing & Communications to lead communication and marketing efforts. This role will convey GA's impact in the progressive fundraising space through compelling campaigns across media channels.

This candidate should be a team player, able to multitask, and eager to learn. This position requires in-person office presence at our Chinatown, DC location for full-time work. The Director of Marketing & Communications will report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer. #LI-Onsite

Responsibilities: 

•  Lead the Grassroots Analytics' marketing strategy in collaboration with GA’s Revenue team.
•  Manage GA communication channels (social media, talking points, press releases, and newsletters) to maintain a unified message and branding.
•  Oversee company social media presence, regularly assessing audience size, post engagement, and growth trends.
•  Coordinate press availability and formulate media pitches to boost Grassroots Analytics' visibility.
•  Assist staff efforts for media opportunities and training. 
•  Oversee a team of GA staff to execute marketing and communication campaigns. 
•  Manage the Art Department & Marketing Associate and oversees revamp of GA's brand

Requirements: 

•  Minimum of 2 years in political or tech communications or marketing.
•  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The manager should be able to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
•  Strong project management skills to oversee multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
•  Enthusiasm for progressive politics, nonprofits, and meaningful causes.
•  A strong history of drafting communication materials from social media to press releases and other digital content. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

•  Former management experience. 
•  Familiarity with analytics tools to measure and analyze campaign performance.
•  Existing relationships with DC, political, or business media contacts. 
•  Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies. 
•  Experience with marketing analytics and CRM tools. 

Salary range is $100,000-$150,000 commensurate to experience. We offer 33 days of PTO + two days for every year with GA; 11 federal holidays; and full office closure between Christmas and New Year's.
