To achieve our ambitious goals, we are looking for a Qualitative User Researcher to join our Grammarly Business User Research team. This role will be responsible for designing and conducting high-impact qualitative and mixed-methods research to inform our B2B product strategy and feature offerings. As part of the growing Grammarly Business Research team, this role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to foster user-centered practices and deep customer understanding within the team.
The role is ideal for someone with a strong interest and background in the B2B space—you’re interested in diving into the complexities of how teams communicate at work and have experience conducting research with enterprise companies. The ideal candidate is comfortable with multiple qualitative research methods and recognizes when to best use quantitative or qualitative research methods. This individual would also be interested in defining and developing research processes as the User Research team scales.
Your impact
In this role, you will have the opportunity to accelerate the company’s understanding of our B2B customers. You’ll shape product strategy by conducting research that identifies critical customer needs. You’ll shape team culture by championing the value of user research and helping your cross-functional partners embrace user-centered thinking and practices.
In this role, you will:
- Prioritize research needs across multiple work streams to identify the most impactful research opportunities.
- Develop research plans that garner stakeholder buy-in and alignment.
- Design and execute qualitative and mixed-methods research to surface core user needs.
- Triangulate qualitative research with quantitative data, whether by conducting quantitative research yourself or by partnering with quantitative team members.
- Deliver research insights to inform our B2B product strategy and feature offerings.
- Promote user-centered decision-making among your cross-functional team, sharing research findings via rich storytelling, workshops, and other creative socialization practices.
- Participate in building the User Research practice at Grammarly through hiring, mentoring, and selecting research tools and resources.
We’re looking for someone who

- Is able to collaborate in person 2–4 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub where the team is based.
- Has a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience conducting user research in the B2B space (ideally across both SMB and enterprise).
- Is well-versed in a variety of qualitative methods, with an understanding of how to combine methods and the trade-offs of different approaches.
- Is familiar with basic quantitative approaches (e.g., surveys) and has experience collaborating with quantitative researchers / data scientists to achieve holistic insights.
- Is a self-starter who enjoys defining and driving projects while also knowing how to collaborate effectively.
- Is adept at managing stakeholders and is able to build connections across the company, including with Sales, Marketing, Data Science, Design, and Product.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and effectively articulates their ideas, research plans, and findings.
- Is a creative and analytical thinker who’s excited to tackle complex problems.

- For Colorado-based employment: The salary range for this position is $89,000 - $220,000]/year; however, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
