Job Summary: The Failure Analysis Lab Engineer is responsible for investigating and analyzing product failures and defects in battery products, including EV battery packs and modules. This role plays a pivotal part in identifying root causes of failures and recommending improvements to enhance product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of battery product failures and defects.
- Use various diagnostic tools and equipment to investigate and determine the root causes of failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, R&D, and Engineering, to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and calibrate specialized lab equipment for accurate analysis.
- Document and report findings, including root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the development and improvement of failure analysis methodologies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external experts and labs for advanced failure analysis when necessary.
- Mentor and train lab technicians in proper failure analysis techniques and protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 7 years of experience in failure analysis, quality engineering, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Educational background in a relevant field, such as Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
