About the team:

You’ll join the Education Platform team, currently working on making learning with GoodNotes more efficient and enjoyable by adding science-backed learning methods to GoodNotes. This cross-functional team is distributed across Europe and Asia and works collaboratively on end-to-end product development.

About the job:

This is a new position driving greenfield initiatives specific to Korea with the potential to be replicated across the world and scale the team. This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:

  • Lead the development of new proof of concepts for edTech in partnership with major industry players
  • Build and own the entire lifecycle of new user-facing features, leveraging technologies unique to the latest frameworks and AI technology
  • Lead projects involving cross-functional teams and external partners focused on delivering the best features for our millions of users
  • Continuously improve the development practices through research, automation, documentation and testing

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • Expertise in Swift programming and experience with SwiftUI
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills in both Korean and English
  • Ability to lead new projects with a high degree of autonomy and ownership
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • A strong desire for self-improvement through side projects and sharing showing a love of software craftsmanship
  • Shipped one or more non-trivial iOS apps on respective app stores
  • Big plus if you have experience cross-compiling codebase on different mobile platforms

The interview process:

  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join Goodnotes
  • A 1-hour Hackerrank challenge
  • A 2 hours live coding call with one of our engineers. This is where you get to see what it would be like working at Goodnotes as well as the chance to ask any engineering questions you may have
  • Discussions with the Engineering Manager and the VP of Engineering about your experience and your values
