We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Brand Marketing to join our talent Marketing team. You will be responsible for taking Gong’s brand to the next level and developing and executing a comprehensive brand strategy that positions Gong as a leader in the B2B technology sector. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in brand management, strategic marketing, and team leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Brand strategy development:
    • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Use data-driven insights to inform branding and marketing strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for brand growth and market expansion.
    • Develop and implement a holistic brand strategy that aligns with the company strategy, business priorities, and corporate positioning.
    • Lead the creation of a compelling brand narrative that resonates with our target audience and differentiates us from competitors.
  • Brand identity creation and implementation:
    • Lead the development and refinement of a cohesive brand identity that embodies the company’s mission, vision, and value proposition.
    • Define and articulate the brand's personality, tone, and voice
    • Create and maintain brand guidelines that include standards for logo usage, color palettes, typography, imagery, and other visual elements.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of visual systems that effectively communicate the brand's identity and enhance brand recognition.
    • Ensure consistent brand messaging and execution across all channels, programs, and assets, including marketing collateral, sales tools, videos, website, digital, social, events, demand gen, field marketing.
  • Event planning and execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing goals and brand objectives.
    • Lead the creation of innovative and engaging event concepts that capture the essence of the brand and resonate with the target audience.
    • Identify key industry events, conferences, trade shows, and company-hosted events that provide opportunities for brand promotion and lead generation.
    • Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and success metrics for each event to ensure alignment with business goals and effective measurement of ROI.
    • Oversee the design and production of event materials, including signage, presentations, booths, and promotional items, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop compelling content, programming and guidelines for events, including first-party and third-party events, roadshows, and field marketing events.
  • Customer advocacy and marketing:
    • Build and nurture a community of brand advocates by identifying and engaging with key customers who can act as brand ambassadors.
    • Develop and manage a customer advocacy program, including customer testimonials, case studies, and video assets.
    • Organize and host customer-focused events, webinars, and user groups to foster community and deepen customer relationships.
  • Team leadership and development:
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing brand marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to team members, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals.
    • Invest in the professional growth and development of team members.
  • Collaboration and cross-functional partnership:
    • Work closely with product, sales, and customer success teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business objectives.
    • Partner with executive leadership to communicate brand vision and strategy across the organization.
    • Engage with external partners, agencies, and vendors to enhance brand initiatives.
  • Brand performance and reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure brand health and marketing effectiveness.
    • Continuously refine and improve branding strategies based on performance metrics and feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • 10-15+ years of marketing experience in B2B enterprise software (SaaS experience preferred) with a strong, demonstrable focus on brand marketing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to help breathe new life into the Gong brand.
  • Ideally, experience at a company with ARR > $500M.
  • Passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • A strong team player but still a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment.
  • A self-driven, high-energy leader with excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Someone who flourishes when given responsibility and a sense of ownership.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $270,000 - $290,000 USD. 

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
