About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned SEO Lead with a proven track record in spearheading and facilitating organic growth for growth-stage B2B SaaS companies, particularly with experienced scaling for all different market segments. As an SEO Lead, you will drive our SEO strategy to align with overall business objectives. You’ll be responsible for partnering with cross functional teams including product marketing, content, engineering, design, and analytics. You will build, prioritize, and manage our SEO roadmap, balancing short term improvements and long term strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic SEO Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with the company's growth goals in target segments.
  • Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities and trends in the target market. Analyze competitors' strategies and stay ahead of industry changes.
  • On-Page and Technical SEO Optimization: Oversee on-page optimization efforts, ensuring website content, structure, and technical elements are optimized for search engines and user experience.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to create and optimize high-quality, SEO-friendly content that aligns with target audience needs and search intent.
  • Link Building: Develop and implement effective link-building strategies to increase the authority and credibility of the website.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to monitor, examine, and report on key performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead Generation Funnel Management: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to report and optimize the organic lead generation funnel, ensuring a seamless and effective transition from lead acquisition to conversion.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO best practices. Implement changes accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of web & digital marketing experience with a focus on SEO in the B2B /SaaS space (recent experience with a high growth B2B SaaS company)
  • Experience leading an in-house SEO program working in a highly cross functional role with strategist, engineering, product, design, and content teams
  • Experience in developing and implementing B2B SEO strategies for international markets (EMEA/Mexico a plus)
  • Proven track record of successful launches and driving organic growth in diverse regions
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A constant learner, with deep knowledge of the SEO tech landscape and you keep your finger on the pulse of how it’s rapidly evolving
  • Experience working with modern SEO tools like Botify, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, SimilarWeb, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, ahrefs and others.
  • Hands-on and enjoy building, even if you are an experienced manager
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to create, work and summarize large data sets into clear insights that inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting with and briefing senior leaders on outcomes & recommendations, and an interest in teaching others.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and dynamic work environment, staying proactive and innovative in the ever-evolving landscape of SEO.
  • Fully remote position (must be located in the USA)

Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. Motive uses three geographic zones to determine pay range. For this role, the compensation ranges are:

$154,275$181,500 USD
U.S. metropolitan areas: Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City Area, Seattle, Washington D.C.
$140,250$165,000 USD
Other locations in the United States
$129,731$152,625 USD
