About The Role:
G/O Media is looking for a creative, energetic and experienced Director, Strategy to help accelerate our advertising and business growth.
The Director, Strategy will lead and mentor a growing team of Strategists tasked with creating best-in-class Sales materials while meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple projects at once.
This role reports to the VP, Marketing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Management of pre-sale Strategy to support a nationwide sales team, including:
Lead Strategy team in developing compelling concepts and proposals to both win RFPs and to proactively pursue new business
Develop competitive pitches, presentations and collateral
Work with Branded Content, Editorial and Research teams to develop new proactive offerings
Mentor a national team of Strategists to continuously evolve and improve the team’s output
Act as a leader and provide a strong creative POV in brainstorms
Review / proofread all proposals and proactives to ensure concepts, visuals and copy meet company standards
Oversee and enforce the pre-sale process
Other tasks as assigned
10+ years’ experience in digital media and digital publishing with a focus on digital media and branded content sales support
Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a facility to mentor and inspire employees
Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage a large team and multiple projects at once
Expert writer and copy editor
Solutions oriented and open minded
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
