About the Role:
G/O Media is looking for an Office Manager/Receptionist to maintain the front desk Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. As our Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for the general operation of our office. Duties include but are not limited to: greeting guests, answering incoming calls, purchasing office supplies and taking proper inventory. You will report to our Facilities Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain front reception area
Receive and process incoming and outgoing mail
Unpack, order, and organize office supplies
Organize catering for meetings, weekly breakfast & lunches
Point of contact for building maintenance
Arrange new hire’s desk and equipment set up
Liaise with building engineers and security
Route all incoming phone calls from the main office phone to appropriate staff members
Managing access cards for new employees and helping ensure office security
Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
2+ years reception, office management and preferably operations experience in a fast-paced environment
Organization, planning and scheduling
Ability to operate calmly under pressure and manage multiple, competing priorities
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to lift 30 - 50lbs without assistance
