About the Role:
The Onion is seeking a Chicago-based Video Editor to join their production team. The Video Editor will be responsible for creating assembly edits for any and all Onion Inc. and G/O Media video, podcast, and radio content assigned to them.
Editing video, podcast and/or radio content assigned; both Editorial and Branded/Sponsored
Working with cross-functional team members to meet deadlines
Managing, organizing, and maintaining all assets related to assigned projects according to the process/procedure put into place by the Director of Post Production
Ability to help out/jump onto any project or task assigned by manager
2-3 years experience as an Editor and/or Assistant Editor
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and other editing softwares
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Familiarity with Adobe Suite
Familiarity with basic color timing
Ability to work within tight schedules to meet deadlines
Familiarity with industry standard post-production workflows
Strong organizational skills
Archiving/Server maintenance experience a plus but not required
